The suction cup base adheres very well to any smooth surface: toilet seat, bathtub, shower wall, tile floor. I had no problem lubricating with the toy I used a lot of lubricant because the size is large and my wife is quite tight, I may have more luck with the lubricant using a condom, I noticed that the water-based lubricants that I tested directly on the toy tended to dry off or rather gobble up the toy fairly quickly.
